Steely Dan!
Was there ever a more incredible night? Under the slightly cloudy skies of Colorado, nestled in the mammoth red rock cliffs of Redrock State Park, snuggled and warm with my beautiful man listening to the heavenly sounds of Michael McDonald and Steely Dan! I really have no words to transmit my emotions!
But to Owen Wilson: "SHAME ON YOU OWEN! SHAME SHAME SHAME! And he should be really ashamed to have said "I don't even know who Mr. Steely Dan is!" My God Man! We never thought you were a BRIGHT shiny star but that level of cultural ignorance is stunning!

Whaaaaaaaaa? I thought Mr. Wilson would be on the up and up with Steely Dan. I have lost oodles of respect for him. I have also lost oodles of respect for myself for using the word "oodles".
I believe his actual quote was ...
"I have never heard the song Cousin Dupree and I don't even know who this gentleman, Mr. Steely Dan, is," the actor said in a statement released by his spokeswoman, Ina Treciokas.

... So I interpret this as a big F U to my boys! What is your take on it? Either way I have lost all respect for Owen.
Michi, that concert sounds amazing! What a great combo too, with Michael McDonald! And Owen...tsk, tsk, tsk.
This reminds me of the time when I was talking to someone, and that someone was telling me how much she liked Jethro Tull. She said she "used to listen to him a lot." :-)
Just so everybody's clear:
Steely Dan is not a guy.
Jethro Tull is not a guy.
Judas Priest is not a priest.
Twisted Sister is not a girl.
The lead singer of Hootie and the Blowfish was not named Hootie.
Everything But the Girl actually does have a girl.

Ummm, then what is Jethro? A tool?
I stand corrected: Jethro Tull was a guy, he lived from 1674-1741. Who knew?
